This website is run by John Vickery, doing business as VML Consulting (Vickery Machine Logic, LLC), Greenville, South Carolina. This policy explains what information I collect through this site and how I use it. The short version: I collect very little, I do not sell anything, and client data stays confidential.
Contacting me
There is no contact form. If you email me at [email protected], I receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. I use that only to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the engagement. I do not add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone.
Analytics and cookies
This site may use basic analytics (such as Google Analytics) and standard WordPress cookies to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time and the site will still work.
Client project data
Anything you share during an engagement — files, exports, system access, documents — is kept confidential and used only for that engagement. I ask for the minimum needed (for example, no names or Social Security numbers for payroll comparison work). Files are encrypted in transit and at rest and deleted once the deliverable is built, unless you ask me to keep them. Local AI work runs on hardware you own, so your data does not need to leave your building. I am happy to sign your NDA.
Sharing
I do not sell, rent or trade personal information. I share it only if required by law, or with your permission.
Your choices
You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. I will respond promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
